A real example

$15,000 at home. $4,000 on Alibaba. Real?

A contractor needed a stone-handling vacuum lifter. At home it ran about $15,000. On Alibaba he found it for $4,000 — but he was nervous: is the seller even a real company, and how many hidden costs are waiting on top? We checked. The factory was legitimate and well regarded. The quote did hide a few extra charges, and with freight the real landed cost came to about $5,200 — not $4,000. Still about a third of the local price, from a factory with a strong reputation and solid build quality.

What do you actually provide?

A clear payment decision before you wire money. The USD 29 Scan is a visible supplier risk snapshot, delivered as a PDF in 24–48 business hours. The USD 199 Landed Cost Review adds supplier contact, quote and payment-term review, and an initial landed-cost estimate. Both end with a plain Pay / Pause / Walk away call and next steps — not a data dump.

Is your data real, or just an AI guess?

Real and traceable. Findings come from free public official sources — China's enterprise registry, court-enforcement records, customs export-identity signals, and MIIT website filings — plus the materials you submit. Every factual finding points back to a visible source with a check date. We don't use paid shipment databases, and if a public signal isn't found, we say so instead of guessing.

Should I source from China at all?

China can offer strong pricing and selection — but a new, unverified supplier is where the real money risk sits. We don't give a blanket yes or no; we help you decide supplier by supplier, before the deposit leaves your account. The point is a clear-eyed decision on this specific supplier, not generic advice.

What usually goes wrong when buying from China?

The recurring ones: the legal entity or bank beneficiary doesn't match who you're chatting with; the model, spec, or quote terms are ambiguous; packing, weight, and Incoterms are unclear so landed cost is a guess; and the supplier goes quiet after the deposit. Our review surfaces these before you pay, so they become clarification items instead of surprises.

What if I'm not satisfied — do you refund?

Our deliverable is the report, and we stand behind delivering a genuinely useful payment-decision memo. If we fail to deliver your report, or something is clearly wrong with what you received, email procurement@expectationsystem.com and we'll make it right. Credits also carry between products: your USD 29 applies toward the USD 199, and the USD 199 can be credited toward future import-coordination fees for 90 days.
